Okay, so I’ve been glued to my phone all day playing this game called Monopoly Go, and let me tell you, this Memorial Marathon event is a whole thing. I was excited when I heard about it, figuring it’d be a good way to kill some time and maybe snag some cool in-game prizes.
First off, I launched the app and saw the Memorial Marathon banner right there. Clicked on it, and boom, I was in. The game’s all about rolling dice, moving around the board, and buying up properties, you know, classic Monopoly stuff. But with these events, there’s always extra stuff to do, extra ways to score points and rewards.
- Landed on specific tiles, like Chance or Community Chest, to get those event points.
- Racked up points with every roll, basically. It felt like every move I made was getting me closer to something.
- Completed different milestones within the event. They’ve got these tiers set up, so the more you play, the more you unlock.
The whole point is to collect points, right? So, I was rolling like crazy. Sometimes I’d land on a railroad and get a bunch of points, other times, not so much. It’s all luck, really, but there are ways to strategize. Like, I tried to complete shutdowns, which is like, attacking another player’s property. It’s risky but pays off if you pull it off. Bank heists are another big one. Managed to pull off a few of those, and let me tell you, the rewards are sweet.
I played for hours, just grinding away. My phone battery took a beating, but I was determined to hit that final milestone. They say it’s got a bunch of dice rolls and other goodies. Finally, after what felt like forever, I hit it. And yeah, the rewards were pretty decent. Got a ton of dice rolls, which is like gold in this game, and some other stuff too. This game is just addictive, it is also a good way to kill some time.
Is it worth it?
I don’t know, I mean, I enjoy the game, so for me, it was fun. But it does take up a lot of time. If you’re into Monopoly and have some time to kill, then yeah, give the Memorial Marathon a shot. But if you’re not that into it, it’s probably not going to blow your mind.
