Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole “Brady down to Falcons” meme thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.
First off, I started digging into the history. It’s all about Super Bowl LI, you know, where the New England Patriots, led by Tom Brady, made this insane comeback against the Atlanta Falcons. They were down 28-3, and, like, who comes back from that? Brady, apparently.
So, I got this idea to make a meme about it. The thing is, Brady’s record against the Falcons is crazy, he was like 10-1 against them. Dude’s a Falcon killer, for real. And they even had a big lead on him again on Sunday! And he won. This is just meant to happen. I need to find some tools. I opened Photoshop, a tool I am familiar with, and started to create this meme.
I grabbed some pictures – one of Brady looking all smug, and another of the Falcons logo, you know, looking all sad and defeated. I’m no Photoshop expert, but I managed to slap them together. The real trick was the text. I went with “When you’re down 28-3 but remember you’re Tom Brady.” Classic, right?
- Finding the right images took some time, had to make sure they fit the vibe.
- Layering them in Photoshop was a bit of a learning curve, but I figured it out.
- Adding the text, that was the easy part. Just had to make sure it was readable and funny.
Then came the hard part. I wanted to share it on Twitter, but I couldn’t find the original video of the game where he threw the only interception he’s ever thrown in a postseason game. There’s this viral meme of him before Super Bowl LI even entered halftime. Where can I find it? I spent hours looking for it. But I couldn’t find it. I just gave up on that.
Anyway, after posting my image meme, I sat back and watched the reactions roll in. Some people loved it, some people hated it, and some people were just confused. But hey, that’s the internet for you. It was fun, though. I learned a bit about football history, a bit about Photoshop, and a lot about how quickly things can blow up online.
So yeah, that’s my story of diving into the “Brady down to Falcons” meme world. It was a good time, and I might even make some more. Who knows, maybe I’ll become the meme king of football. Or maybe not. We’ll see.
