Yo, what’s up, guys? It’s your boy back again with another DIY project. This time, I’m gonna try to make a Dragon Ball baseball jersey. I’ve been a huge Dragon Ball fan since I was a kid, so this project is pretty close to my heart. And I am just a fan of baseball.
First off, I went online to check out some designs. There are tons of Dragon Ball-themed clothes out there. Saw some cool stuff on some shopping websites, you know, the usual hoodies and t-shirts, but not so many baseball jerseys. Some websites are selling those basketball Dragon Ball jerseys, they are cool, but I prefer baseball more. That gave me a good starting point, though. I wanted something that screams “Dragon Ball” but also looks like a legit baseball jersey.
Then I started sketching. I grabbed my old sketchbook and doodled a few ideas. I thought about using the classic orange and blue color scheme, like Goku’s gi. I also played around with the idea of incorporating the Dragon Ball logo and maybe some character silhouettes. After a few messy sketches, I came up with a design I was pretty happy with.
Next, I had to find a plain baseball jersey to use as a base. I hit up a local sports store and found a simple white jersey that would do the trick. I also picked up some fabric paint, stencils, and brushes. I made sure to get colors that matched my design, like bright orange, blue, and black.
Now for the fun part—actually making the jersey. I laid out the jersey on a flat surface and started by stenciling the Dragon Ball logo on the front. I carefully painted it in, making sure the lines were clean and crisp. It took a few coats to get the colors really vibrant. I used black color for the logo’s outline. I think I prefer this more than a red outline.
- Stenciled the Dragon Ball logo on the front.
- Painted it with multiple coats for vibrant colors.
- Added Goku’s “Go” kanji on the back.
After the logo dried, I moved on to the back of the jersey. I decided to add Goku’s “Go” kanji, the big one he wears on his back. I found a good reference online, printed it out, and traced it onto the jersey. Then I carefully filled it in with orange paint. This part was a bit tricky, but I took my time, and it turned out pretty awesome.
To finish it off, I added some blue stripes along the sleeves and sides of the jersey to give it that classic baseball look. I also painted my name and the number “7” on the back, just for that extra personal touch. Each ball of Dragon Ball represents a number, so I think this number is meaningful.
Final Touches
Once everything was dry, I gave the jersey a good once-over to make sure there were no smudges or mistakes. I even tried it on to see how it looked. Man, it felt good to wear something I made myself, especially something as cool as a Dragon Ball baseball jersey.
So there you have it, folks. My Dragon Ball baseball jersey project. It was a blast to make, and I’m stoked with how it turned out. If you’re a Dragon Ball fan and you’re looking for a fun DIY project, give this a try. It’s a great way to show off your love for the series and your creative side. Catch you guys in the next one!
