Okay, so I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Roman Reigns lately, the WWE dude. People keep asking me, “Who’s his brother?” I figured, why not just share what I found out, just my process, you know? Nothing fancy.
Digging into the Family Tree
First thing I did was, well, I hit up the internet. Type in “Roman Reigns brother,” simple as that. Bunch of stuff popped up, mostly about wrestling, which makes sense. Found out his real name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i, but everyone calls him Roman Reigns in the ring. He’s a big deal in WWE, a champion and all that.
Now, about his brother. Turns out, Roman had an older brother named Matthew. In the wrestling world, he was known as Rosey. Sadly, I read that he passed away in 2017. Heart problems, which is a real bummer. He was born back in 1970, so he was a bit older than Roman.
The Anoa’i Wrestling Legacy
It seems like wrestling is a big thing in their family. Their dad, Sika Anoa’i, was a wrestler too, part of a team called The Wild Samoans. They called Rosey and Roman’s uncle, Afa Anoa’i, and he even trained Rosey. There’s also these twin guys, Jonathan and Joshua Fatu, who are also related and wrestle as The Usos. Their dad is another wrestler named Rikishi. It’s a whole family affair!
I also saw that Roman had three sisters. One of their names is Vanessa, but I couldn’t find much about the others, or much about Vanessa, to be honest. Their mom’s name is Patricia Hooker, but again, not a lot of info out there. Seems like they keep their personal lives pretty private, which I respect.
Putting it All Together
- Started with a simple search: “Roman Reigns brother.”
- Found his brother’s name: Matthew Tapunu’u Anoa’i, known as Rosey in wrestling.
- Discovered Rosey’s passing: He died in 2017 from heart issues.
- Learned about the family’s wrestling history: Dad Sika, uncle Afa, and cousins The Usos are all wrestlers.
- Found out about Roman’s sisters and mom: One sister is Vanessa, mom is Patricia, but not much info on them.
So, yeah, that’s basically what I found out. It’s not like I did a deep dive or anything. Just a regular guy trying to answer a question. Hope this clears things up for those who were wondering!
