When’s this Davis boy fighting again?
They say it’s gonna be on March 1, 2025. Mark it down, that’s what I heard. He’s gonna be fighting some other fella named Lamont Roach, sounds like a fish to me. But this Davis, he’s something else. He ain’t lost a single fight, not one! 30 wins, can you believe it?
Where’s this fight gonna be?
They’re saying it’s gonna be in Brooklyn, at some fancy place called the Barclays Center. Sounds like a place for rich folks, huh? I ain’t never been, but I hear it’s big, real big. They talk about it like it is a big deal, I guess Tank has been there before. He must like that place to go back there. Big city, all those lights and stuff.

Why’s this Tank fella so good?
Well, he hits hard, that’s what they say. Knocks folks out cold. 28 knockouts, that’s a lot of fellas seeing stars. He’s like a bull in there, just charging and swinging. Don’t get in his way, that’s for sure. And the last time, he fought some fella name was Martin. Knocked him out too, in the eighth round, I heard.
This Davis, he’s fast, too. Like a weasel, slipping and sliding, then BAM! Hits you when you ain’t looking. He’s been doing this for a long time, I reckon. Got to be good to stay on top for so long. They said he had been away for more than a year, then he came back in June and knocked some guy out. After more than a year! And now he has another fight! Sounds like he is not slowing down anytime soon.
Who’s this Roach guy he’s fighting?
Don’t know much about him, to be honest. But if he’s fighting Davis, he must be pretty good, too. Can’t be no pushover to get in the ring with “Tank.” Maybe he’s tough, maybe he’s fast. We’ll just have to wait and see. I heard people talking, saying this Roach guy has been the plan for a while now. First they said January, then they changed it to March. And the location moved too. I guess planning a fight is a lot of work.
What’s all this talk about “lightweight”?
That’s just how much they weigh, I think. Like how they weigh cows at the fair. Different classes for different sizes. “Lightweight” means they ain’t too big, ain’t too small. Just right for a good scrap, I guess. This Davis, he’s the champ of the lightweights, the best of the bunch.
Some folks are saying Davis wants to quit soon. Says he’s been going too fast for too long. Wants to slow down. I can understand that. It’s like working non-stop in the sun. You get tired. He said he wants to do other things besides fighting. Sounds like he needs a vacation, maybe just do some fishing.
Will this be a good fight?
Oh, I reckon so. Any time “Tank” Davis fights, it’s a show. He’s a real crowd-pleaser, that one. Lots of folks will be watching, I bet. I heard many other fighters want to fight with some guy named Jake Paul. What a name! But they also want to fight with Tank. He is popular. I guess many people want to fight him. And this Roach fella, he’ll be trying his best, too. Nobody wants to get knocked out, especially by Davis. So they both will be bringing their best that day.
It’s like when two roosters go at it in the yard. Feathers flying, claws scratching. Gonna be a real brawl, I imagine. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Just gotta wait till March, I guess. That’s a long time, but it’ll be worth it. I just hope that Davis boy stays safe. Fighting’s a rough business. But he’s tough, that Tank Davis. He can handle it. We just wait and see, that is all we can do.
