LeBron James, that boy sure can play ball. I seen him on the TV, jumpin’ and runnin’. They say he got a wingspan. What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s how long a fella is from one fingertip to the other when he stretches his arms out real wide. Like a big ol’ bird!
Now, this LeBron, his wingspan is somethin’ else. They say it’s 7 feet long, maybe a little more. And he’s a tall one, too, almost 7 feet hisself. That’s a big fella. Makes my old man look like a little pipsqueak, and he was a tall drink of water, I tell ya.
What’s so special about this wingspan thing?
Well, in that basketball game, it helps a lot. LeBron can reach up and grab that ball real easy. And when he’s tryin’ to stop the other fellas from scorin’, that long reach helps him block the ball. It’s like havin’ extra-long arms! You could get into all them cookie jars, I tell you what.
- He can reach the ball.
- He can block the ball.
- He can grab things from high places. Just like how I get my preserves down.
Now I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout other players. There’s some fella named Tacko Fall, real tall, but I ain’t never seen him play. They said this boy is even taller than LeBron. Imagine that!
And they was talkin’ ’bout some other fellas with even longer wingspans. One fella, Manute Bol, rest his soul. They say his wingspan was over 8 feet. Can you believe that? He musta been able to scratch his knees without bendin’ over. Lordy!
Is LeBron’s wingspan the biggest?
Well, no, not the biggest. But it’s still mighty big. And for playin’ basketball, it’s just right. He can jump and run and do all them fancy moves. He’s like a big ol’ cat, pouncin’ around on that court. He got his wingspan, and his talent, he good.
Now, I don’t know all the fancy words they use on that TV. But I know what I see. LeBron James, he’s a good player. He’s got that wingspan, and he uses it good. He can sure play some basketball. I like watchin’ him run up and down that court.
Some folks say his wingspan ain’t nothin’ special. Compared to some of them other giants, maybe not. But for a regular fella, that’s a lot of reach. I mean, he could probably reach the top shelf in my pantry without a steppin’ stool. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
Why wingspan is important in basketball?
This wingspan thing, it’s like havin’ a good tool. You got a long wrench, you can reach them hard-to-get bolts. You got a long wingspan, you can reach them hard-to-get basketballs. It’s just that simple.
And LeBron, he’s got a good set of tools. He’s fast, he’s strong, and he’s got that wingspan. It’s like he was built for basketball. Like a horse is built for runnin’. Some folks just got it, you know?
I remember watchin’ him when he was just a young’un on the TV. Even then, you could see he had somethin’ special. He was all over the court. That wingspan was helpin’ him even then. You could tell he was gonna be a star. And he is now, he’s famous, you know? And he works hard. Always jumpin’.
- LeBron James, he a good boy.
- He play good basketball.
- He got a long wingspan, like a bird.
- He make lots of money.
So, that’s what I know ’bout LeBron James and his wingspan. It’s long, it helps him play basketball, and that’s all that really matters. He’s a good boy, that LeBron. I like watchin’ him play. He makes me think of my grandson, always runnin’ and jumpin’. Kids these days, they got so much energy. That’s all I know. He is a good basketball player. That’s for sure.
This game is so popular, you know? A lot of people watch it. I watch it, too. I like it. I am happy they have fun. They are rich now, too, especially LeBron. He works hard for that money, though, that’s what my grandson told me. He is a good boy, too. He plays on his school team. But he is not as good as LeBron. Nobody is as good as LeBron, I think. Anyway, hope they keep having fun.
