Well, well, well, looky here, it’s PGA Championship time again! Time to see them young fellas whack that little ball around. Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear a lot of folks talkin’ ’bout who’s gonna win. They got their favorites, sure, but I like to look at the ones nobody’s talkin’ ’bout. Them dark horses, they call ’em. Yeah, PGA Championship 2024 dark horse, that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout.
Them Young’uns to Watch
This year, it’s 2024, and the PGA Championship is gonna be a real hootenanny. Lots of fellas swingin’ clubs, tryin’ to get that ball in the hole with the fewest whacks. Now, everyone’s got their eye on the big shots, the ones who always win. But me? I like to look for them dark horses. That Xander Schauffele fella, he’s pretty good, I reckon. He’s been hot, they say. Maybe he’ll take home that big ol’ trophy. That Wanamaker thing, they call it. Heard he won somethin’ called the Olympics once, too. Sounds fancy.
And that, uh, Patrick Reed. Yeah, I heard he’s got some fight in him. Might surprise everyone and win this thing. People always talkin’ bout winning that money. Heard the winner gets a lot, somethin like 3 million dollars. That’s a lot of beans!
- Xander Schauffele
- Patrick Reed
- That one fella, Esten Mclaren, says some others are good too.
What’s a Dark Horse, Anyway?
A dark horse is like that mule you don’t expect to win the race. Everyone’s bettin’ on the shiny, fast horses, but that ol’ mule, he just might surprise ya. He’s been workin’ hard, gettin’ stronger, and nobody’s payin’ him no mind. That’s what these fellas are like in this here golf tournament. Nobody thinks they got a chance, but they might just sneak up and win the whole dang thing.
Now, I heard some talk ’bout somethin’ called LIV Golf. Sounds like a bunch of fellas playin’ golf. I don’t know much about it, but I heard they can play in this PGA Championship too. More the merrier, I always say. More folks to watch, more chances for a dark horse to shine.
Figurin’ Out Who’s Gonna Win
It ain’t easy pickin’ a winner. It’s like tryin’ to guess how many kernels are on a corn cob. You just never know. But you can look at how they been playin’. You can see if they’re gettin’ better or worse. And sometimes, you just gotta go with your gut. I got a feelin’ about some of these dark horses. They got that look in their eye, like they’re hungry for a win. And when a fella’s hungry, he’ll work harder than anyone else.
Now, they say the best score is the lowest number. Like gettin’ rid of your debt the fastest, I reckon. Some fella named Jim Furyk got a 58 once. That’s real low, like a snake’s belly. He must be pretty good at this golf thing. They also say you gotta qualify, like gettin’ picked for the pie contest. Only the best bakers get in that one. So these fellas must be pretty good to be playin’ in this here PGA Championship.
Why I Like Them Underdogs
I always root for the underdog. The one nobody expects to win. It’s like when my prize-winnin’ pumpkin beat all them fancy gourds at the county fair. Nobody thought ol’ Betsy, my pumpkin, had a chance. But she was the best darn pumpkin there, and she showed ’em all. These dark horses, they’re like my Betsy. They might not be the biggest or the flashiest, but they got heart. And sometimes, heart is all it takes to win.
So, this year, I’m keepin’ my eye on them dark horses at the PGA Championship. You never know who’s gonna surprise ya. It might be that Xander fella, or maybe that Patrick Reed. Or maybe it’ll be someone nobody’s ever heard of. That’s the fun of it, ain’t it? The not knowin’. Just like life, I reckon. Full of surprises. It is PGA Championship 2024 time!
This Valhalla Place
They’re playin’ at some place called Valhalla. Sounds like a Viking’s dream to me. It is Valhalla. Probably got big hills and lots of trees. Makes it harder to whack that little ball, I bet. But that’s what makes it interestin’, right? A little challenge never hurt nobody. It’s like tryin’ to get a stubborn goat out of the garden. Takes some work, but it’s worth it in the end. And these fellas, they’re up for the challenge. Especially them dark horses. They ain’t afraid of a little hard work. Nope, I think that dark horse can win the PGA Championship in Valhalla.
I’m tellin’ ya, keep your eye on them dark horses. They just might surprise you in this PGA Championship 2024. It’s gonna be a good one, I can feel it in my bones. Might even put a little wager on one of ’em myself. Just a couple of bucks, mind you. Gotta save some for seed money, you know. Now let’s see who can hoist that Wanamaker Trophy in Valhalla!
