This darn unadulterated crossword, it’s a real head-scratcher, I tell ya! Make my head spin like a top, this does. Keep me busy, though. Better than watching those young’uns with their faces glued to them glowing boxes all day. This one here, it’s got me stumped good. Tried and tried, can’t seem to get it right.
They say it’s “unadulterated,” whatever that means. Sounds like some fancy word them city folk use. Means somethin’ simple, I betcha. Just gotta figure out what. Like when you bake a cake, ya gotta have the right stuff, ain’t that right? Same with this, I reckon. Gotta have the right letters.
My eyes ain’t what they used to be, either. Gotta squint real hard to see these little squares. And my hands, they shake a bit. Hard to keep ’em steady. But I keep at it.
