Nah, he ended up headin’ all the way over to the United States, to play college golf at the University of Minnesota. And it was there, I hear, where he met Rose. Ain’t that somethin’? It’s like a little love story in the middle of all that golf. You know how it goes, don’t ya? Sometimes it’s not just about the sport, but about the folks you meet along the way.
Now, I’m sure you’ve seen their picture together. There’s Erik and Rose, all smiles, holding their little girl, Valarie. They were at some fancy golf event called the Par Three Contest, just before the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club, so I hear. You can tell by the look on their faces that they’re a family that sticks together, no matter what.
I reckon it ain’t easy bein’ the wife of a well-known golfer. You get dragged to all these events, and I’m sure it’s a lot of travelin’ around and such. But Rose, from what I can tell, seems to handle it all with a smile. You can see the support she gives Erik, which is probably one of the reasons he’s been so successful.
