Well, let me tell ya ’bout this gal, Maxine Dupri. She’s somethin’ else, that one. Always struttin’ around on that wrestling show, WWE, you know? Big muscles and fancy outfits. Folks seem to like her, though, always clappin’ and cheerin’. She ain’t been around too long, they say. Just started wrestlin’ herself not too long ago, after walkin’ other folks to the ring, like. Kinda like a show pony, but now she’s doin’ the ridin’ herself, if ya catch my drift.
I seen her on the TV the other night, all dressed in pink. Looked like a big ol’ flamingo, she did. But tough, mind you. Not afraid to throw a punch or two. Fought this other girl, Ivy Nile, they said was her friend once. Don’t know what happened there, folks fall out all the time, I reckon. Anyway, Maxine, she gave it her all. Crowd was goin’ wild, stompin’ their feet and hollerin’. Made me wanna stomp my own feet, but my arthritis was actin’ up, so I just clapped a little.
- She works hard, that Maxine.
- Folks say she’s gettin’ better all the time.
- Ain’t won no big shiny belts yet, but give her time.
- She’s got that fire in her belly, ya know?
They got these fellas she hangs around with too, Otis and Tozawa. Big fellas, but gentle, seems like. She was talkin’ to ’em on the TV after one of the fights, tellin’ ’em she was proud. That’s nice, seein’ folks be proud of each other. Not enough of that in the world these days, if you ask me. Everybody’s always fightin’ and squabblin’ over nothin’.
Maxine Dupri, that’s her name. Remember it. She’s makin’ a name for herself in that wrestlin’ world. It ain’t easy, you know. Gotta be tough as nails and work your tail off. But she’s doin’ it. And she’s doin’ it in style, with those fancy clothes and that big smile. Good for her, I say. Good for her.
Folks are always talkin’ ’bout her on the internet too, I hear. Sayin’ she’s somethin’ special. Exceedin’ expectations, they call it. Well, I reckon they’re right. She ain’t just some pretty face, that’s for sure. She can wrestle, she can talk, and she’s got that somethin’ special that makes folks wanna watch. That’s what it takes, ya know? To be a star. And Maxine Dupri, she’s well on her way, I’d say.
I ain’t no expert on wrestlin’, mind you. But I know what I like. And I like seein’ folks work hard and do good. And that’s what Maxine Dupri is doin’. So, I’ll keep watchin’ her on the TV, clappin’ my hands when she wins, and shakin’ my head when she loses. That’s the way it is with wrestlin’, ya know? Ups and downs. But Maxine, she’ll keep on goin’, I betcha. She’s got that look in her eye. That fire in her belly. She ain’t stoppin’ anytime soon.
And that pink outfit? Well, it certainly caught my eye, and I reckon it caught a lot of other folks’ eyes too. Maybe that’s part of her plan, ya know? Stand out from the crowd. Make ’em remember your name. And it’s workin’, ain’t it? Cause here I am, an old woman, talkin’ ’bout Maxine Dupri. She must be doin’ somethin’ right.
So, yeah, that’s Maxine Dupri for ya. A tough gal, a hard worker, and a star on the rise. Keep your eye on her, folks. She’s goin’ places. And I’ll be watchin’ from my couch, cheerin’ her on. Even if my arthritis is actin’ up.
