Alright, alright, let’s jaw about this LeBron fella, this LeBron James. He’s back, ya know? Back to back? Well, not exactly like winnin’ two games straight, but he’s back playin’ after missin’ a couple games. Foot was hurtin’ him, the poor thing. But he’s tough, that one, like an old mule. Got back on the court and helped them Lakers beat them Grizzlies. Lakers win, that’s what matters, right?
Now, folks are askin’, can this old fella, LeBron, lead them Lakers to another championship? He’s been playin’ a long time, longer than my prize-winning rooster has been crowin’, that’s for sure. He’s up there in age, but still jumpin’ and runnin’ like a young buck. People say he’s one of the best, but I just see a fella tryin’ to put the ball in the hoop, same as everyone else. LeBron James championship, that’s what the city folks are hollerin’ about.

They lost to them Timberwolves, though. Yeah, even the best lose sometimes. Happens to the best of us, just like when my prize-winning pumpkin got squashed by a runaway tractor. This season, they Lakers been up and down, like a seesaw. Win some, lose some, can’t make up their minds. Thirteen wins, eleven losses, they say. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. But that LeBron, he’s always tryin’, always pushin’. Lakers season is what they call it, I guess.
He says he can win another one, another championship, before he quits playin’. That’s a big claim, like sayin’ you can grow watermelons in the desert. But he’s a stubborn one, that LeBron, got that fire in his belly. Been playin’ with that Anthony Davis fella for a few years now, they say. Up and down, like a bumpy road, their time together. LeBron James retirement ain’t happened yet, so there’s still hope, I reckon.
He came to them Lakers, he says, to help that Jeanie lady win championships. Jeanie, that’s the boss lady, I hear. He wanted to bring back the good times, the spark, they call it. And he wanted his family to be happy in California, that SoCal place. Signed a new deal, gonna stay with them Lakers for a bit longer, maybe another year or two. LeBron James Lakers contract is what the newspaper fellas wrote.
Now, they talk about him ownin’ a team someday, but he can’t do that while he’s still playin’. Rules, they say, just like how you can’t put the cart before the horse. He owns a piece of that soccer team over in England, though. Liverpool, they call it. Fancy stuff, if you ask me. But he’s got this thing, a no-trade clause, they say. Means he gets to decide if he wants to go play somewhere else, nobody can force him. Powerful thing, that is. LeBron James trade talk, it ain’t up to nobody but him.
So, there you have it. LeBron’s back, playin’ ball, tryin’ to win. Foot’s feelin’ better, Lakers are winnin’ some, losin’ some. He wants another championship, and he’s stickin’ around to try and get it. That’s the long and short of it, as far as I can tell. LeBron James future with the Lakers, well, we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?
