Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this Jalen Hurts fella. Folks keep askin’, is Jalen Hurts Christian? Now, I ain’t no preacher or nothin’, but from what I hear, seems like he might be. They say he talks about his faith and all, you know, like them God-fearin’ folks do.
He’s got this favorite verse, somethin’ from John, 13:7 they say. He posts it on them social medias, whatever them things are, and talks about it when them reporters stick microphones in his face. Sounds like a good boy, mindin’ his Bible. I always say, a man who loves the Lord is a good man, whether he’s throwin’ a football or plantin’ corn.
- He talks about faith, see? That’s important.
- He ain’t ashamed to say he believes in somethin’ bigger than himself.
This fella plays football, you know, for the Eagles, them bird fellas. He’s the quarterback, the one who throws the ball. And boy, can he throw it! Folks say he’s real good, one of the best. But that ain’t the point, is it? The point is, he seems like a decent young man who loves the Lord, and that’s more important than any football game.
Now, I seen on that TV thing, they were talkin’ about how he had a tough time once. Everybody has them, you know? But he said he leaned on his faith to get through it. That’s what you gotta do, see? When times get hard, you gotta trust in the Lord. He’ll see ya through.
They also said somethin’ ’bout him bein’ a black quarterback, and how that’s a big deal in Philadelphia. I don’t know much about that, but it sounds like he’s doin’ somethin’ good. And he’s got a gal, they say. A member of some group with letters, Omega somethin’ or other. Good for him. A good woman can keep a man grounded, keep him on the right path, ya know?
Jalen Hurts went and won that big game, the NFC Championship they called it. Folks were cheerin’ and hollerin’. It was a real big deal. But even with all that fuss, he still talks about his faith. That tells ya somethin’, don’t it? That tells ya he ain’t forgot where he came from or who he answers to.
He replaced another fella, Wentz they called him. Seems like Wentz wasn’t doin’ so good, so they put Jalen in. And Jalen, he did good. He led them Eagles to victory. But like I said, winnin’ ain’t everything. What matters is how you live your life, how you treat people, and whether you love the Lord.
So, is Jalen Hurts a Christian? Well, like I said, I ain’t no preacher, but from what I hear, sounds like he might be. He talks the talk, and he seems to walk the walk. And that’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? It ain’t about how many touchdowns you throw or how many games you win. It’s about livin’ a good life, a life that’s pleasing to the Lord.
And that Jalen Hurts, he seems like he’s doin’ just that. He’s a good football player, sure, but more importantly, he seems like a good man. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter who ya are or where ya come from.
Folks these days, they get caught up in all sorts of things. Money, fame, fancy cars. But none of that matters in the long run. What matters is your faith, your family, and your friends. And it sounds like Jalen Hurts understands that. He seems like he’s got his head on straight, and that’s a good thing in this crazy world.
So yeah, I reckon he might be Christian. But most important, he seems like a good egg, and that’s what counts. Treat folks right and remember the Lord, that’s what my mama always said. Sounds like this Jalen boy does just that.
