Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this AJ Styles fella, huh? Whether he’s hangin’ up his boots, or what? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t so clear-cut. Folks been jabberin’ all over the place, ain’t nobody got a straight answer.
Is AJ Styles Retiring? That’s the big question, ain’t it? Like, is the man done wrestlin’ or not? I heard some folks sayin’ he’s outta the ring ’til next year, 2025 they say. Can ya believe it? A whole year without seein’ that fella flip around? That Sportskeeda fella, Dr. Chris Featherstone, he’s the one spreadin’ that news. Said he heard it straight from the horse’s mouth, or somethin’ like that.
Now, AJ, he ain’t been on TV since June, after that fight he had with Cody Rhodes over in Scotland. Clash at the Castle, they called it. Sounded fancy, but all I know is AJ ain’t been around since. Heard he got beat up pretty good. But then again, these wrestlers, they always gettin’ beat up. It’s their job, I reckon.

- Contract Status: His contract’s supposed to be up this year, 2024. Signed a five-year deal back in 2019, then they messed with it again in 2022. Who knows what that all means, lawyers and their fancy talk.
But then, things get all mixed up, ya know? Cause just last week, boom, AJ’s back on that SmackDown show. And he’s got Cody Rhodes with him! Those two, they got a history, fightin’ and whatnot. But there they were, standin’ together. Folks thought maybe AJ was gonna say he’s done, finished, retired. That he was gonna announce his retirement.
But hold yer horses, it ain’t that simple. See, somethin’ happened. I ain’t sure what, but it wasn’t no retirement speech. Maybe he changed his mind. Maybe he just wanted to say howdy to the fans. Or maybe, and this is what I think, maybe he ain’t ready to quit just yet.
That man, he’s a fighter. He’s been wrestlin’ for ages, way before he even got to WWE. Heard he was a big deal somewhere else, whatchamacallit, TNA? And then he came to WWE and showed them young’uns how it’s done. Phenomenal One, they call him. And for good reason, I tell ya. He can do things in that ring that’d make your head spin. Flips and jumps and all sorts of craziness.
And now he’s just gonna stop? I don’t buy it. Not yet, anyways. Sure, he’s gettin’ older. Ain’t none of us gettin’ younger, that’s for sure. But AJ, he still got that fire in his belly. You can see it in his eyes. He ain’t ready to sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
They say he’s been doin’ some of them house shows, the ones they don’t put on TV. Just wrestlin’ for the folks in the smaller towns, keepin’ busy. Maybe that’s all he wants to do now. Maybe he don’t want all the fuss and bother of TV no more. Or maybe he’s just takin’ a break, healin’ up from that fight in Scotland. Like I said, nobody knows for sure.
What’s Next for AJ Styles? That’s the million-dollar question. Will he come back to TV and fight for the championship again? Will he just do them house shows? Or will he finally hang up his boots and call it a day? I ain’t got no crystal ball, so I can’t tell ya. But I’ll tell you this, whatever he does, he’ll do it his way. He’s earned that much. He’s a legend, that AJ Styles. And legends, they don’t just fade away.
AJ Styles Retirement Rumors: So, yeah, there’s a lot of talk, a lot of rumors. But that’s all they are, just rumors. Until AJ comes out and says he’s done, I ain’t believin’ it. And even then, I might not believe it. Wrestlers, they always comin’ back for one more match, one more payday. It’s in their blood, ya know? They can’t help it. So, we’ll just have to wait and see. Wait and see what the Phenomenal One decides to do. And in the meantime, we can watch all them old matches and remember how great he was, and maybe still is. Heck, he even did some interviews, talkin’ on some Ringside Wrestling Show. Seems to me he’s got plenty to say, whether he’s in the ring or not.
