Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this UFC 5 thing and whether you can play it with your buddies on different game machines. You know, like if you got that Xbox thingy and your friend’s got that PlayStation 5. Can you guys beat each other up in the game or not? That’s what we’re here to figure out.
So, is UFC 5 crossplay between Xbox and PS5? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t. Nope. Not one bit. You can’t be whoopin’ on your friend if they got a different machine than you. It’s a dang shame, I tell ya. These game companies, they make things so complicated.
- No cross-platform play: Means if you got an Xbox, you gotta play with other Xbox folks. Same goes for the PlayStation 5. Can’t mix and match.
- Cross-gen is okay: Now, if you got a PlayStation 5 and your friend’s still got that old PlayStation 4, you can play together. That’s what they call cross-gen. It’s somethin’, I guess.
I heard some folks sayin’ some other games let you play together no matter what machine you got. But not this UFC 5. They decided, “Nope, we ain’t gonna let them folks play together.” Don’t make a lick of sense to me, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman tryin’ to understand this newfangled technology.
I also heard talk about how some older games on the new machines, like that PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, they still let you play together. But UFC 5, it’s a new game, so that don’t apply here. It’s only cross-gen, like I said. PS5 folks can play with PS4 folks. That’s it.
Some people, they really wanted that crossplay. They said they woulda bought the game just for that, so they could play with all their friends. But now, they gotta pick and choose who to play with, or everyone’s gotta have the same machine. It’s a real pain in the neck, if you ask me.
And don’t even get me started on those folks who wait forever to find a game. I heard one fella sayin’ he waited 20 minutes and still couldn’t play! Twenty minutes! That’s enough time to bake a whole pie! Now, I don’t know if that’s got somethin’ to do with this crossplay thing, but it sure sounds frustrating.
I also heard some rumblin’ about them having two versions of the game, like that basketball game, NBA 2K. But I ain’t sure what that means for us. Maybe one version for the old machines and one for the new ones? Who knows? It’s all just too much for my old brain.
So, the long and short of it is this: if you wanna play UFC 5 with your friend, you both gotta have the same kind of game machine. Xbox players stick with Xbox players, and PlayStation players stick with PlayStation players. Unless, of course, you’re playin’ with someone on an older version of the same machine, like a PS4 and PS5. That’s the only way you can play together. It ain’t right, but that’s the way it is.
Now, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about game machines and crossplay has made my head spin. Just remember what I told ya, and you won’t be disappointed when you can’t beat up your friend on that different machine. It’s a shame, I tell ya, a real shame.
