Alright, so listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Adrian Griffin fella and his new job with the Milwaukee Bucks. They hired him, see? He’s the new head coach. Number 17, they say. Big deal, I guess. They gonna have a big to-do, a press thingy, on Tuesday. The big boss man, Jon Horst, he’ll be there too. Probably gonna say a bunch of fancy words.
Now, here’s the thing. They fired that other coach, the one before Adrian. Don’t even remember his name. Happens all the time, these coaches comin’ and goin’. But the Bucks, they still gotta pay the old coach. Yep, all the way through 2027. That’s a long time to pay someone who ain’t even workin’ for ya. Heard they givin’ him four million dollars a year. Land sakes, that’s a lot of money! What I wouldn’t do with that kinda cash.
- Adrian Griffin, he’s the new coach.
- They gotta pay the old coach too.
- That’s a lot of money.
Then they got this other coach, Doc Rivers. They hired him after they fired Adrian. Now they gotta pay three coaches! Can you believe that? Three grown men gettin’ paid to coach one basketball team. This Doc Rivers, they say he’s gettin’ ten million dollars a year. Ten million! My head’s spinnin’ just thinkin’ about it. He signed a contract for four years, all the way through 2027, same as the fella they fired.
Adrian, this new coach, he was born a long time ago, 1974. Fourth of July, no less. He went to school in Kansas, then played basketball for a bunch of teams. Boston, Dallas, Houston, even over in some foreign place, Italy. Played for a good long while, twelve years. Now he’s coachin’. Guess he knows a thing or two about basketball. They say he’s gonna get four million dollars a year, too. That’s still a whole heap of money, even if it ain’t ten million.
So, the Bucks, they got all these coaches. Adrian, Doc Rivers, and the one they fired. Three of ’em! All gettin’ paid. It’s a crazy world, I tell ya. People makin’ all this money just for playin’ a game. Back in my day, you worked hard for every penny. But I guess that’s just how things are now.
This Adrian fella, he’s got a big job ahead of him. Gotta coach those Bucks boys, try to win some games. Hope he’s worth all that money they payin’ him. ‘Cause four million dollars, that ain’t chicken feed. That’s enough to buy a whole lotta cows and chickens! And probably a new tractor, too.
So that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. The Bucks got a new coach, Adrian Griffin. They gotta pay the old coach and this Doc Rivers fella too. Lots of money changin’ hands. We’ll see how it all shakes out. Maybe Adrian will be a great coach, maybe he won’t. Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, those Bucks sure are spendin’ a lot of money on coaches.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. It’s a lot to take in, all this talk about millions of dollars and basketball coaches. Makes my head hurt just thinkin’ about it. But hey, that’s the news. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
I almost forgot! They said something about Adrian Griffin not coachin’ the team anymore. They fired him, can you believe it? After all that money they were paying him. And that other coach, Doc Rivers, he’s coachin’ now. Like I said, these coaches, they come and go like the wind. Hard to keep track of it all.
