Alright, so, you wanna hear about that football game, the Broncos one? Yeah, I watched it. It was somethin’ alright, a real barn burner, that’s what my grandson calls it. Lots of runnin’ and throwin’, just like them young’uns do.
The Broncos played, and they won! That’s the main thing, right? Don’t matter how pretty it was, long as they got the win. I think they were playin’ against… uh… the Browns, yeah, that was it. Them Browns, they put up a fight, I’ll give ’em that. Scored a bunch of points, they did.
But the Broncos, they scored more! That’s how you win, see? Score more points than the other fella. My grandson, he keeps yellin’ about “offense” and “defense.” I tell ya, it’s all just a bunch of hooey. You run, you throw, you catch, you score. That’s football, simple as that.
- One fella, Winston, I think his name was, he threw the ball a whole bunch. My grandson said he threw for a lot of… “yards.” Sounded like a lot, whatever it means. But he also threw the ball to the other team a few times. That ain’t good, even I know that.
- And then there was this other fella, McMillan, I think. He caught the ball and ran real fast. My grandson was jumpin’ up and down, yellin’ about a “touchdown.” That’s when they score, I guess. Good for him, runnin’ like that.
It was a close game, though. Back and forth, back and forth. One team scores, then the other team scores. Gave me a headache, all that up and down. But in the end, the Broncos, they pulled it off. They won! That’s all that matters.
Now, my grandson, he kept talkin’ about “playoffs.” Said the Broncos are tryin’ to get into the playoffs. I don’t know much about that, but it sounds important. He said they haven’t been in the playoffs for a long time, since… 2015, he said. That’s a long time ago, even for an old woman like me.
They also played another game, yeah, against them Raiders. Won that one too! My grandson, he was happy about that. Said somethin’ about beatin’ their rivals. Rivals? I tell ya, these young’uns and their fancy words. It’s just a game, ain’t it? But he seemed awful pleased, so I guess it’s a big deal.
Anyway, the Broncos, they scored a lot in that game too. More than the Raiders, that’s for sure. My grandson said they’re in third place now, whatever that means. He said they’re in a good spot to make the playoffs. Well, good for them, I say. Hope they keep winnin’. Makes my grandson happy, and that makes me happy.
So, that’s the lowdown on the Broncos games. They won, both of ’em. Lots of scorin’, lots of runnin’, lots of yellin’ from my grandson. It was somethin’ alright. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football makes a body hungry.
And you know what? I think that fella Jeudy, he played good too. My grandson was saying his name a lot. I don’t know what he did exactly, but if my grandson’s happy, then he must’ve done something right. Football is confusing sometimes, all these fellas running around. But a win is a win, that’s what I always say.
The final score? Well, I don’t remember the exact numbers, but the Broncos had more, that’s all I know. My grandson kept talking about odds and favorites, and money lines… I don’t understand all that gambling stuff. I just like to see the boys win, plain and simple. It’s more fun when they win, you know? Makes everyone happier.
So, there you have it. My take on the Broncos games. Not very fancy, I know, but that’s just how I see it. They played, they fought, they won. And that’s all there is to it.
