Alright, let’s talk about them basketball teams, the Toronto Raptors and the Washington Wizards. I don’t know much about fancy stats or nothin’, but I can tell ya who’s been winnin’ and losin’. That’s what matters, right?
Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards – Who’s on Top?
So, these two teams, Raptors and Wizards, they been playin’ each other. Seems like the Raptors been doin’ alright lately. Heard tell they won a game 130 to 122. That’s a lot of points, ain’t it? Someone said somethin’ ’bout a pizza party if they keep winnin’. Guess them boys like pizza as much as my grandkids.
I saw somethin’ on the TV ’bout a fella named Fred VanVleet. Scored a whole bunch of points, they said, 33! That’s more than I scored my whole life playin’ hoops in the barnyard. Course, we didn’t have no fancy rules back then. Just throw the ball and hope it goes in.
- Raptors Wins: Seems like they’re gettin’ a few wins under their belt. Heard they won two in a row. That’s good, right? Means they’re better than the other guys, I reckon.
- Wizards Wins: Don’t know too much ’bout their wins, but I did hear they spoiled the Raptors’ homecoming. That means they beat ’em, right? Well, nobody wins all the time, I guess.
Now, there’s this other fella, Beal. He scored 23 points for the Wizards. And Montrezl somethin’-or-other, he got 22 in his first game with them Wizards. Sounds like he’s a good player, that fella.
But then there’s this Barrett fella on the Raptors. Scored 17 points but hurt his shoulder. Poor thing. Hope he gets better soon. Shoulder injuries ain’t no fun. Had one myself from carryin’ too many water buckets.
And another fella on the Raptors, Chris Boucher, he got 13 points and six rebounds. Rebounds, that’s when you get the ball after someone misses, right? Seems important. Like pickin’ up dropped eggs before the chickens get to ’em.
Keeping Track of the Standings
Now, I don’t understand all them fancy standings charts. Too many numbers and letters for my old eyes. But I know this: You win more games, you’re higher up. You lose more games, you’re lower down. Simple as that. Seems like the Raptors been doin’ more winnin’ lately, so they’re probably higher up than the Wizards. But things can change, you know. One day you’re up, next day you’re down. Like my chickens when the fox comes around.
Heard they’re gonna play again soon. I’ll be watchin’, or at least listenin’ on the radio. Rootin’ for… well, I ain’t sayin’ who I’m rootin’ for. Just want to see a good game. And maybe another pizza party. That sounds like fun.

All sorts of numbers ’bout who scored what and how many times. Like I said, too many numbers for me. But some folks like that stuff. Keeps ’em busy, I guess.
So, if you wanna know more ’bout these Raptors and Wizards, you gotta look at them standings and scores and all that. Me? I’ll just keep watchin’ and seein’ who wins. That’s the fun part, ain’t it? Seein’ who comes out on top.

You can always find out the latest game results. Just gotta look in the right places, on the TV or the internet. They even tell you what time the games are gonna be on. Like that one game they said was gonna be at 7:30 pm. That’s after supper time, so I can watch it.
Anyways, that’s all I know ’bout these basketball teams. They play, they win, they lose. Just like life, I reckon.
