Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this fight, the Ramirez versus Espinoza undercard thing, whatever they call it. Don’t know much about these fancy names, but I know a good scrap when I see one.
So, this Ramirez fella, he’s supposed to be some kinda slick southpaw, you know, left-handed and all shifty. They say he’s 30 years old, still young enough to throw a punch, I guess. He’s tryin’ to get his revenge, they say. Seems like he lost to this Espinoza guy before, somethin’ about a featherweight title. Don’t ask me what a featherweight is, sounds like a skinny chicken to me.
Now, this Espinoza, he’s a Mexican fella, 25 fights, 21 knockouts. Knockouts, that’s when they knock ’em out cold, right? Sounds like he hits hard. They say he built his career in Mexico, probably fought in all them dusty little towns, just like back home, ‘cept they talk funny over there.
This fight, it’s gonna be on Saturday, December 9th. They’re fightin’ in Florida, Pembroke Pines, some fancy city center. Don’t know why they can’t just fight in a good ol’ barn, but what do I know? They say the undercard starts at 5:40 p.m. Eastern Time, or 2:40 p.m. if you’re out on the West Coast. Means nothin’ to me, I just look at the sun to tell the time.
- Ramirez: Southpaw, 30 years old, wants revenge.
- Espinoza: Mexican, 25 wins, 21 knockouts, hits hard.
- When: Saturday, December 9th.
- Where: Pembroke Pines, Florida.
- Undercard Time: 5:40 p.m. ET / 2:40 p.m. PT
They’re showin’ this fight on somethin’ called ESPN+. Sounds like one of them fancy cable channels, all them extra pluses and minuses, makes my head spin. You gotta pay extra for it, I bet. Back in my day, we just gathered ’round the radio, listenin’ to the fight, imaginin’ the punches. Now they got pictures and everything, makes it too real sometimes.
So, this rematch, it’s a big deal, I guess. Ramirez gotta change his game, get inside Espinoza’s reach. Espinoza, he’s gotta keep that distance, use his power. It’s like a chess game, they say, but with more punchin’. I like punchin’ better than chess, that’s for sure.
They were arguin’ about money, somethin’ called a “purse bid.” Sounds like they were fightin’ over who gets how much money before they even got in the ring. Always about the money, ain’t it? Just like when old man Johnson tried to sell me that broken-down tractor for twice what it was worth.
Anyway, I’m lookin’ forward to this fight. I like a good underdog story, and Ramirez, he’s the one tryin’ to come back. But Espinoza, he sounds like a tough cookie. It’ll be a good one, I reckon. Hope they don’t just dance around, huggin’ each other all night. I wanna see some action, some real punches thrown.
Don’t know nothin’ about these promoters, “Top Rank” they call themselves. Sounds fancy. They puttin’ on the show, makin’ the money. Good for them, I guess. Just hope they give the fighters a fair shake. These boys, they put their bodies on the line, they deserve somethin’ for it.
So, yeah, Ramirez versus Espinoza, undercard, December 9th, Florida. Watch it if you got that fancy ESPN+ thing. If not, well, you can just imagine it. Two guys, beatin’ each other up, tryin’ to be the best. Same as it ever was, I guess.
Remember, Espinoza, the Mexican fella with the heavy hands, and Ramirez, the lefty trying to get even. It’s a classic story, revenge and redemption. Gonna be a barn burner, I tell ya!
