Alright, let’s talk about these here PGA golf shorts for men. You know, the ones them fellas wear when they’re whacking them little white balls around. I seen ’em on TV, and I seen ’em in the stores, and I gotta say, some of ’em look alright, and some… well, some look like they could use a good ol’ fashioned patchin’ up.
First off, what’s with all the fancy names? Dri-FIT this, Active Waistband that… Back in my day, shorts were just shorts! You wore ’em ’til they fell apart, then you patched ’em up and wore ’em some more. But these young fellas, they need all sorts of special stuff. I guess it’s important for swingin’ them golf sticks, or whatever they call ’em.
Now, I ain’t no expert on golf, mind you. I reckon I could hit a ball further than some of them skinny fellas, but that ain’t the point. The point is, these shorts gotta be comfortable, right? You can’t be out there in the hot sun, all sweaty and itchy, tryin’ to make that little ball go where you want it to. So, I guess that Dri-FIT stuff is important. Keeps ya cool and dry, like they say. Sounds fancy, but if it works, it works.
And the waistband? Don’t even get me started on waistbands. Some of these shorts got waistbands that stretch and move with ya. That’s good, I reckon. Nothin’ worse than a waistband that digs into your belly when you’re tryin’ to bend over. But then you got them flat front shorts. They look alright, I guess, but I dunno… seems kinda restrictive to me. Give me a good ol’ elastic waistband any day.
- Comfort is Key: Like I said, you gotta be comfortable out there on the golf course. So look for shorts that let you move around easy.
- Pockets are Important: Where else you gonna keep your tees and your ball markers? And maybe a little snack, for when you get hungry.
- Don’t Break the Bank: Some of these shorts cost a pretty penny, let me tell ya. But you don’t gotta spend a fortune to get a good pair. Shop around, look for sales, and don’t be afraid to haggle a little.
Then there’s the prints. Some of these shorts got all sorts of crazy patterns on ’em. Flowers, stripes, even little golf balls! I guess it’s a way to show off your personality, or somethin’. But me? I like somethin’ simple. A nice solid color, maybe a subtle plaid. Nothin’ too flashy. You’re there to play golf, not put on a fashion show.
And let’s not forget about the price. Now, I seen some of these shorts go for over a hundred dollars! A hundred dollars for a pair of shorts! That’s highway robbery, I tell ya. You can get a whole outfit for that kinda money. But then you got the cheaper ones, too. Fifty bucks, sixty bucks. Still seems like a lot to me, but I guess that’s the price you pay for quality, or for that fancy Dri-FIT stuff.
So, what’s the bottom line? Well, if you’re gonna buy PGA golf shorts for men, make sure they’re comfortable, they got good pockets, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And don’t worry too much about the fancy names or the crazy prints. Just find a pair that fits ya good and lets ya swing them golf sticks without feelin’ like you’re wearin’ a burlap sack. And if they happen to have a nice elastic waistband, well, that’s just a bonus.
And one more thing, don’t forget to wash ’em! Nothin’ worse than a fella who smells like a week-old fish out there on the golf course. So wash them shorts regular, and maybe hang ’em out to dry in the sun. That’ll keep ’em smellin’ fresh and lookin’ good.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on these here golf shorts. Take it or leave it, I don’t care. I’m just an old lady who knows a thing or two about comfort and common sense. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find my own shorts. Gotta get out there and do some gardenin’. And you can bet your bottom dollar, they ain’t costin’ me no hundred bucks!
