Alright, so you wanna know about this Jonathan India fella, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy talk though, I’m just tellin’ it like it is.
So, this Jonathan India, born in 1996, down in Florida somewhere. He’s a baseball player, you know, the kind that runs around and hits balls with a stick. Big fella, plays in the middle of the field, they call it “infield” I think.
He used to play for the Cincinnati Reds, a bunch of fellas in red suits. Then, just this past winter, they up and traded him! Can you believe it? Shipped him off to the Kansas City Royals. Big trade, they said, the biggest one so far this offseason. Guess them Royals wanted him real bad.
Now, about them Royals… they got a whole new team it seems. And this Jonathan, he’s part of it now. He plays second base, whatever that means. Sounds important though. You can find all sorts of news about him on that ESPN thing, they got all the details if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I just hear things from the neighbors and the TV.
This boy, he’s pretty good, I hear. Won some kind of “Rookie of the Year” award back in 2021. That means he was the best new player that year, see? Big deal, that is. They gave him a bunch of money too, 8.8 million dollars for two years. Lord, that’s a lot of money! Enough to buy a whole lotta cows, I tell ya.
Last year, in 2024, he played in a whole bunch of games, 151 they said. Hit 15 home runs, whatever them are. And got on base a lot, 80 times they walked him, which I guess is a good thing. He batted .248, which I don’t rightly understand, but folks say it ain’t bad.
- Born: December 15, 1996
- Plays: Second Base
- Teams: Cincinnati Reds (formerly), Kansas City Royals (currently)
- Award: National League Rookie of the Year (2021)
- Contract: $8.8 million for two years
So, they traded him for some pitcher fella named Brady Singer. And another fella too, Joey Wiemer. Big trades, I tell ya, always happening in baseball. One minute you’re here, the next you’re gone. Just like them chickens in my yard, always flyin’ the coop.
This Jonathan fella, he seems like a good boy. Works hard, plays hard, makes a lot of money. That’s the American dream, ain’t it? Work hard and you’ll get somewhere. Even if it means movin’ from Cincinnati to Kansas City.
I heard he played for the Florida Gators when he was younger. That’s a college team, you know, for all them smart young folks. He was good even then, I reckon. You don’t just get to the big leagues without being good, that’s for sure.
Now, I don’t know much more about this Jonathan India, but I know he’s a baseball player, a good one at that. And he’s playin’ for the Royals now. So if you’re a Royals fan, you better be rootin’ for him. He’s one of your own now.
And that’s about all I got to say about Jonathan India. He’s a baseball player, plays second base, makes a lot of money, and used to play for the Reds but now he plays for the Royals. Got it? Good. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
