Alright, listen up, y’all! Let’s talk about this… uh… “en-eff-el” thingamajig. My grandson, he’s always yappin’ about it. Says it’s some kinda football, but not the kind we play in the yard with the kids. This here’s the big-time stuff, he says. Somethin’ about Week 3, 2023. Don’t ask me what that means, I just nod and pretend I know.
So, this “coverage map,” that’s what he calls it. Sounds fancy, right? Like somethin’ you’d find in a spaceship or somethin’. But from what I gather, it’s just a way to tell ya which game you can watch on your TV. Back in my day, we had one channel, and if you didn’t like it, well, tough luck! Now they got a million channels and still can’t find nothin’ good to watch, ha!
Week 3, now that’s important, or so they say. Seems like a big deal. They got games on Thursday night, Sunday night… it’s a whole shebang. My grandson, he was glued to the TV Thursday night, watchin’ some Giants and some… 49ers, I think he called ’em. He was yellin’ at the screen, somethin’ fierce. I tell ya, these young folks get so worked up over this stuff.
- Thursday Night Game: Giants and 49ers, somethin’ on “Amazon Prime Video.” Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like somethin’ you order online.
- Sunday Night Game: Now, this one’s a mystery. My grandson said somethin’ about it bein’ on… wait for it… “NBC.” I think that’s one of them fancy channels.
This “coverage map” thing, it tells ya which game you get in your area. Like, if you live over yonder by the creek, you might get one game, but if you live up on the hill, you might get another. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. Why can’t they just show all the games everywhere? Makes no sense to this old lady.
But I guess it’s important to some folks. My grandson, he studies this map like it’s the Bible. He knows exactly which game he’s gonna watch and what channel it’s on. He even knows who the announcers are gonna be! Can you believe that? I swear, these kids these days…
They got all sorts of teams, too. Giants, 49ers… my grandson mentioned some others. Steelers, I think. And somethin’ with a bird, maybe Eagles? It’s hard to keep track. Back in my day, we had one team, and that was it. Life was simpler then, let me tell ya.
So, this Week 3, it’s a big deal. Everyone’s preparin’, my grandson says. The teams are gettin’ ready, the announcers are gettin’ ready, and the fans are gettin’ ready. And I guess I’m gettin’ ready too, even though I don’t have a clue what’s goin’ on. I’ll just sit here with my knitting needles and listen to my grandson yell at the TV. It’s entertainment, I guess, in its own way.
And that’s the gist of it, folks. This NFL Week 3, 2023. Coverage maps and games and channels and yellin’. It’s a whole new world out there, and I’m just tryin’ to keep up. But one thing’s for sure, nothin’ beats a good ol’ cup of coffee and a slice of pie, no matter what’s on TV.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make sure my grandson doesn’t break the TV. He gets a little… enthusiastic when his team is playin’. And who knows, maybe I’ll even sneak a peek at that “coverage map” myself. Just to see what all the fuss is about, you know.
They got all this fancy technology now. Back in my day, we listened to games on the radio, if we were lucky enough to have one. Now they got these “HD” TVs and “streaming” services. It’s a wonder anyone can keep up! But my grandson, he seems to know it all. He’s always talking about “stats” and “quarterbacks” and “touchdowns.” I just nod along and pretend I understand. At least it keeps him out of trouble, I suppose.
So, if you’re lookin’ for the NFL Week 3 games, find yourself one of them “coverage maps.” It’ll tell ya everything you need to know. And if you see my grandson, tell him to turn down the TV, will ya? This old lady needs her peace and quiet!
