Well now, I reckon y’all might have heard of this fella, Chris Jericho. He’s quite the character, ain’t he? I mean, it’s not every day you come across someone who makes a list of folks he don’t like. I’m tellin’ you, this “List of Jericho” business was somethin’ else! Started back in 2016, I believe, on that show WWE Raw. The whole thing was just Jericho runnin’ his mouth about all the folks he thought were stupid. And I ain’t kiddin’ when I say stupid; he didn’t hold back one bit! If you made it on that list, boy, you were in for a tough time!
Now, let me tell ya, this here list wasn’t just a little ol’ thing Jericho threw together. Oh no, it grew into something massive! It was a way for him to keep track of all the folks and things that got on his nerves. Places, people, even situations—if it irked Jericho, it was goin’ on that list! People like Mick Foley, Enzo Amore, Big Cass, and even some of them Shining Stars—you know who I mean, them two wrestlers that always talk about bein’ from Puerto Rico or somethin’—they all found themselves on the list.
Let me break it down for ya real quick. The whole thing started with Jericho havin’ some words with Mick Foley. This was on the September 19th episode of Raw. Jericho was none too happy with Foley, and he figured the best way to handle it was to make a list. And just like that, the List of Jericho was born. But let me tell ya, it wasn’t long before Jericho had to add more names to that list! Some folks interrupted his promo, and Jericho didn’t take too kindly to that. So, what did he do? He made another list! And this one was a list of what he called “stupid idiots.” And if you got called a stupid idiot by Jericho, you better believe he meant it!
What Made The List?
- Mick Foley – The General Manager of Raw sure did get under Jericho’s skin. If you’ve ever seen their back and forth, you’ll know why he ended up on the list.
- Enzo Amore and Big Cass – These two were loud and boisterous, and Jericho didn’t care much for their style, so they made the cut.
- The Shining Stars – Not exactly the biggest names, but Jericho sure had words for them too.
- Any “Stupid Idiot” that crossed Jericho’s path – You didn’t have to be a wrestler. If you annoyed him enough, you were on the list.
And it wasn’t just for folks who rubbed Jericho the wrong way. Oh no, the list was as much about things that annoyed him too. From time to time, he’d add little things like “bad haircuts” or “stupid decisions.” It was like a little journal of everything that set him off. And folks watched him do it. They loved it! Jericho was the kind of fella who could turn even a simple thing like a list into somethin’ entertaining. Ain’t that somethin’?
But like all good things, it had to come to an end eventually. You see, back in February 2017, Jericho’s good ol’ buddy Kevin Owens turned on him during what they called the “Festival of Friendship.” You’d think they were the best of pals, but Owens snapped, and it all ended with Jericho takin’ a hard hit. That was the end of the List of Jericho, at least for a while. Ain’t that just the way it goes, though? One minute, you’re makin’ lists of people you don’t like, and the next minute, one of your own friends turns on ya!
Now, some folks might’ve thought the List of Jericho was just some gimmick, but it wasn’t just that. It was a part of Jericho’s character, somethin’ that kept folks watchin’. It was funny, it was personal, and it gave Jericho a way to express himself in a way no one else could. Who would’ve thought that a guy could turn makin’ a list into a whole thing? But Jericho did it, and folks loved him for it!
The Legacy of the List of Jericho
Even though the List of Jericho came to an end, it’s still a part of wrestling history. Folks still talk about it today, and Jericho’s list has left a mark on the wrestling world. You don’t forget somethin’ like that. In fact, it became one of the most iconic and memorable moments in WWE, even though it wasn’t about a big championship match or anything. It was about a man who had a lot of opinions and wasn’t afraid to share ‘em!
So, even though Jericho doesn’t keep the list anymore, folks still remember it. And if you ask any wrestling fan about it, they’ll tell you all about the stupid idiots who ended up on that list. Jericho might not be makin’ the list anymore, but he’s still out there doin’ his thing. And I reckon, that’s just how Jericho works. Ain’t nobody like him, and that’s what makes him special!
