Alright, so here’s the deal. I was trying to catch the Colorado Buffaloes game the other day, and man, finding the right channel was a whole saga. Thought I’d share how I finally figured it out, might save someone else the headache.

First off, I just assumed it would be on one of the usual suspects – ESPN, Fox, something like that. Big mistake. I flipped through all the sports channels I could think of. Nada.
Strike one: Blind channel surfing. Don’t do it.
Next, I did the obvious thing: Googled it. “Colorado football game TV channel.” Seemed simple enough, right? Well, the results were a mess. Tons of different sites popping up, all with conflicting info. Some said ESPN, some said Pac-12 Network, some were just straight-up wrong.
Strike two: Trusting the first Google result. Always double-check.
Okay, time to get serious. I remembered that the Pac-12 has its own network, and since Colorado is (or was, things change fast) in the Pac-12, that seemed like a good lead. But, surprise, surprise, I don’t even get the Pac-12 Network with my cable package. Ugh.

So, I dug a little deeper. I went to the official Colorado Buffaloes athletics website. Usually, they have the broadcast information right there on the schedule. And bingo! It turns out, the game was being broadcast on… ABC. Who would have thought?
Lesson learned: Go straight to the source. The team’s official website is your best friend.
But wait, there’s more! I have a terrible memory. I knew it was on ABC, but which channel is ABC on my TV? Back to the internet I went, this time searching for “ABC channel number [my cable provider]”. Finally, after all that, I found it. Channel 7. Game on!
The final hurdle: Knowing your local channel lineup. Save yourself the trouble and write them down somewhere.
So, yeah, that’s how I managed to watch the game. It took way longer than it should have, but hey, at least I got there in the end. Hope this helps someone else avoid the same frustration!
