Okay, so I wanted to keep better track of the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Arizona Diamondbacks games. I’m a huge Pirates fan, and honestly, sometimes I just forget when the games are, or I miss the scores.

First, I grabbed my phone and opened up my favorite sports app .I won’t name names, but it’s a pretty popular one. I made sure I had both the Pirates and Diamondbacks set as “favorite” teams, so I get notifications and stuff.
Setting Up My Calendar
Then, I went into my Google * seemed like the best way to actually visualize the games.I started a new calendar entry on my google calendar.
- I typed in “Pirates vs. Diamondbacks” for the event title. Simple enough.
- The time, I used the schedule from my sports app. I picked the right start time.
I repeated that process for every single Pirates/Diamondbacks game I could find on the schedule. Took a little bit, but I figure it’s worth it. I also set reminders for each game – usually an hour before, so I have time to grab snacks and get situated.
Game Day!
Now, on game days, I get a pop-up on my phone and my computer reminding me about the game. During the game, I casually update my sport app,and see some score.
After the game, I make a quick note of the final score in the calendar event. Just something simple like “Pirates win 5-2” or whatever. This way, I have a super easy record of how the games went, all in one place.

This whole system has been a game-changer for me (pun intended!). I’m not missing games anymore, and I can easily look back and see how the Pirates have been doing against the Diamondbacks throughout the season. It is such a easy way to keep up with the match.
