Alright, so I decided to jump into this “Last Flight” mission in Gray Zone Warfare. I’d heard some chatter online, figured I’d give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about.

First things first, I booted up the game and found the mission in my task list. It seemed pretty straightforward from the description – go to this location, find something, and get out. Easy peasy, right? Wrong.
Getting There
I grabbed my usual loadout – nothing fancy, just a reliable rifle, some extra mags, and a few bandages. I figured I wouldn’t need anything too heavy-duty. I then hopped into a chopper at the main base. The flight over was pretty chill, gave me some time to look at the map and plan my approach. I decided to land a bit away from the objective, just to be safe. Didn’t want to drop right into a hot zone.
- Took the chopper – Made sure I was stocked.
- Checked the map – Plot a course and be on the lookout.
- Landed a safe distance away– Try to avoid getting ambushed.
The Search Begins
Once I was on the ground, I started moving towards the objective marker, keeping my eyes peeled. The area was pretty dense with buildings and vegetation, so I took it slow, using cover as much as possible. I ran into a few AI enemies along the way – nothing my trusty rifle couldn’t handle. A few bursts here and there, and they were down. Gotta say, aiming felt pretty good today.
I finally reached the designated area. It was some kind of abandoned, messed-up crash. After a good five minutes or so of careful seaching, I located the thing I was supposed to find. Grabbed it quickly, heart starting to pound a bit faster now – time to get out!
Getting Out Alive
Exfiltration was a bit hairy. More enemies seemed to be popping up now, probably alerted by the earlier gunfire. I stuck to cover, using buildings and walls to my advantage. I managed to take down a few more, but I was starting to run low on ammo. I used my nades to create distractions, a useful way to throw the AI off your trail.

I called in the chopper for extraction, found a relatively clear spot, and popped smoke to mark my position. The wait felt like forever, with enemies closing in. Finally, I heard the chopper blades – music to my ears! I sprinted towards the landing zone, firing off a few last rounds to keep the enemies at bay. I made a last dash, I jumped into the chopper just as a few bullets whizzed past my head. Whew, that was close!
Back at base, I handed in the item, completed the mission, and got my rewards. Not a bad haul, and definitely a good adrenaline rush. Will I do it again? Maybe. It’s good fun, it’s worth a shot.
