Okay, so I’ve been trying to get in shape, you know, like really in shape. And I’ve always been a huge Conor McGregor fan. The guy’s a beast, and his physique is insane. So, I thought, “Why not use him as a benchmark?” I figured if I could get close to his stats, I’d be doing pretty good.

First, I needed to know those key stats. Height and weight, obviously. That’s the starting point, right?
Digging for Intel
I started hitting up the internet. It took some time, but many websites said similar things. I began to filter out some of the old and outdated data.
What I Found
It seems pretty consistent across the board. Most sources put McGregor at around:
- Height: Around 5’9″ (that’s about 175 cm for us metric folks).
- Weight: This one is tricky, because it depends on whether he’s fighting or not. He walks around heavier, but for fights, he cuts down.
- Weight during the time he is not preparing for a fight, I searched and found that it should be 170 lbs.
For his fighting weight, it varies depending on the weight class. He’s competed at featherweight (145 lbs), lightweight (155 lbs), and welterweight (170 lbs). You can find his weight changed frequently.
Putting It Into Practice
So, what did I do with this info? Well, I’m not trying to become a professional fighter, so the weight cutting wasn’t really relevant. But, I did use it as motivation. I’m about 5’10”, so I’m close to his height. Knowing his general weight range gave me a target to aim for. I’m not obsessed with hitting those exact numbers, but it’s good to have a goal, I tried to reach the weight during the time he is not preparing for a fight. Finally I did it!

It’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the dedication and discipline. Watching McGregor’s training videos and seeing how hard he works… that’s the real inspiration. The height and weight are just the starting point.
