Okay, so I’ve been getting into MMA training lately, and everyone’s been talking about these “Trevor Wittman gloves.” I figured I’d give them a shot and see what the hype is all about. This is my journey with them, from start to finish.

Finding the Right Ones
First off, I had to figure out which Trevor Wittman gloves to even get. Turns out, he’s got his name on a bunch of different stuff. I did some digging and realized I wanted the ONX Sports ones – those seemed to be the ones people were raving about for serious training.
Getting My Hands on Them
Ordering was the easy part. Finding my size, though…that took a little bit of back and forth. I used their size chart, measured my hands like five times, and still felt unsure. I ended up just going with my usual glove size and hoped for the best.
First Impressions
When the package arrived, I ripped it open like a kid at Christmas. The gloves looked sweet. Really well-made, solid leather, and they just felt…different. I slipped them on, and the fit was surprisingly snug. Not in a bad way, but definitely more form-fitting than my old, beat-up gloves.
Putting Them to the Test
- Heavy Bag Work: This is where I really noticed a difference. My punches felt… crisper, I guess? Like the impact was being distributed better. My wrists felt super supported, too.
- Mitt Work: My coach was all about these gloves. He said he could feel the difference in my punches, and that they sounded “snappier” (his words, not mine!).
- Sparring: Okay, I was a little nervous using new gloves for sparring, but they held up great. Good protection for me and my partner, and I felt like I had more control over my punches.
Breaking Them In
They were a little stiff at first, no lie. It took a few sessions to really break them in and get them feeling like a second skin. But once they were broken in… man, it was a game-changer.
The Verdict
Are they worth it? For me, absolutely. My hands feel better, my punches feel better, and I just feel more confident in my training. They’re definitely an investment, but if you’re serious about your training, I’d say they’re worth checking out. My hand feel not painful after training now. It is worth to have them.
