Zay Flowers or Jaylen Waddle: Start or Sit? (Week [Insert Week Number] Advice)

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football stuff, trying to decide between Zay Flowers and Jaylen Waddle. It’s been a whole thing, let me tell you.

The Start of My Headache

I started by just looking at their stats from last season. You know, receptions, yards, touchdowns – the usual. I grabbed a pen and paper, ’cause I’m old school like that, and started jotting everything down.

Waddle had some pretty good numbers. Dude’s consistent. Flowers, though… he’s a rookie, so it was a bit more of a gamble. Less data to work with. I felt like I was comparing apples and oranges.

Diving Deeper (aka Getting Lost in the Weeds)

Then I decided I needed more than just the basic stats. So, I started watching some game highlights. I spent, like, two hours just watching these guys run routes and catch balls. My wife thought I was crazy.

• Watched Waddle’s highlights from last year. So smooth.
• Checked out Flowers’ college highlights. Explosive, but raw.
• Started to get a headache.

Asking for Help (and Getting Confused)

Next, I hit up some online forums. You know, those places where everyone thinks they’re an expert? Yeah, that was a mistake. One guy said Waddle was a guaranteed stud. Another guy said Flowers had “league-winning upside.” My head was spinning.

I tried to filter through all the noise, but it was tough. Everyone had a different opinion, and they all seemed so sure of themselves.

Making a (Sort of) Decision

After all that, I still wasn’t 100% sure. But, I had to make a pick, right? So, I kind of went with my gut.

I’m leaning towards… well, I’m still not totally sure! It’s really close. I think it depends on what you need for your team. Waddle is probably the safer bet, but Flowers has that potential to be huge.I finally choose Waddle.

It’s really a tough choice.
