Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “best college jerseys” lists popping up all over my social media feeds lately. And, you know, I’m a bit of a jersey fanatic myself. So, I figured, why not dive in and make my OWN list? Plus, it’s a good excuse to spend a few hours browsing through some cool designs.
Getting Started – Where to even look?
First things first, I needed a place to start. This process took a little bit of thought. I opened many sports websites and online stores and started to scroll through it.
My Criteria – Gotta Have Standards!
I didn’t want to just pick jerseys at random. I needed some ground rules, my judging criteria for this very serious mission. I decided to focus on a few key things:
- Classic Look: Does it have that timeless, iconic feel?
- Color Scheme: Is it eye-catching, but not too over-the-top?
- Uniqueness: Does it stand out from the crowd?
- Overall Vibe: Does it just feel like a winner?
The Deep Dive – Hours of Scrolling
With my criteria set, I began digging through the websites. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing, comparing different styles, and making notes. I looked at dozens, maybe even hundreds, of jerseys. Some were instant “no”s, others were “maybe”s, and a few made it onto my shortlist right away.
I was looking for a balance. Some were really creative but the color not great. Others had great colors but not very impressive.
Narrowing It Down – The Tough Choices
This was the hardest part. Taking that shortlist and whittling it down to just a handful of favorites. I went back and forth, comparing and contrasting. I even asked a couple of friends for their opinions, just to get a different perspective.

I decided to keep my top 5 a secret for now. I’ve been working on this for many hours and am thinking of recording a short video or podcast. I hope to find some unique ones and not the regular ones that have been picked by the rest of the internet.
It was a fun, if slightly time-consuming, project. Reminded me why I love college sports and all the traditions that go with it!
