Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make a Bray Wyatt “Fiend” belt for a while now. It just looks so freaking cool, and I figured it would be a fun project. I’m no professional craftsman, but I’m pretty handy, so I dove in.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed a base. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money, so I grabbed an old, beat-up championship belt I had lying around. Any old belt would work, really, as long as it’s got the basic shape.
Next, I needed to figure out how to make the Fiend’s face. I’m not gonna lie, this part was tricky. I thought about sculpting it, but my clay skills are, well, not great. So, I went with a simpler approach.
Creating the Face
- I found a good, high-quality image of the Fiend’s mask online.
- I took to use for create the Fiend’s face, it’s not perfect.
- I used some a worn leather.
- I carefully cut out the different pieces of the mask – the eyes, the mouth, the straps, everything.
- Then, it was just a matter of gluing everything onto the belt’s center plate. I used some heavy-duty adhesive to make sure it all stayed put.
Adding the Details
With the face in place, I wanted to make it look more, you know, Fiend-like. The details are what really make it pop.
- I used some weathering techniques to make the leather look old, worn.
- I added some stitching around the edges of the face, just to give it a bit more of a handmade, creepy vibe.
- For added the “Hurt” and “Heal” gloves on the side plates.
The Finished Product
It took a few days of work, letting things dry, and making adjustments, but I finally finished it! Honestly, I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, of course, but it definitely captures the creepy, unsettling look of the Fiend’s belt.
It was a really fun project, and it’s a cool piece to add to my collection. Now, I just need to find a good place to display it!
