Okay, so today I was trying to solve this crossword, and there’s this one clue, “body of African warriors,” that kept bugging me. I mean, I’ve watched documentaries and stuff, but I couldn’t for the life of me pull an answer out of my brain.
First, I stared at the empty spaces. Seven letters. Hmmm. I tried thinking of general terms, like “army” or “troops,” but nope, those didn’t fit. Then I started going through different African tribes I could remember. Zulu? Nope. Maasai? Too short.

So, I did what any normal person would do – I whipped out my phone and hit up Google. I typed in “African warriors seven letters” and… well, a whole bunch of stuff popped up. Lots of articles, some images, and a few crossword solver sites (no shame in my game!).
I try to make it more accurate, typed in “body of African warriors crossword”.
- I scrolled through a few of the results.
- I saw some mentions of different warrior groups, but nothing that immediately jumped out.
- Then, bam! I spotted a crossword solver site that suggested “IMPI.”
IMPI! Of course! I’d heard that word before. It’s a Zulu word, right? I filled it in the crossword, and it fit perfectly.
Honestly, I felt a little silly for not getting it sooner, but hey, that’s what the internet is for, right? Sometimes you just need a little nudge in the right direction. Now I can finally finish this crossword and move on with my day. Maybe I’ll even do some actual reading about the Impi later – you know, for next time!
