Okay, so today I was digging into this whole “Miguel Cabrera gifts from other teams” thing. It’s his last season, you know, and teams are giving him all kinds of stuff. I wanted to make a list, because, why not?
First, I fired up Google. Just typed in “Miguel Cabrera retirement gifts” and boom, tons of articles popped up. It was a little overwhelming, honestly. Lots of different websites, some with pictures, some just text.
I started clicking through the articles. The first few were okay, but they didn’t have everything. So, I kept going, opening like ten different tabs. My browser was looking pretty crowded!
Compiling the List
Then, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen – yeah, I’m old school sometimes. I started jotting down the teams and the gifts they gave him. It was kind of messy, with me crossing things out and adding stuff as I found more info.
- Team A: I saw they gave him something, I wrote it down.
- Team B: Different websites said different things, so I tried to figure out what was actually true.
- Team C gave Gift 1.
- Team D gave Gift 2 and Gift 3.
- And so on… I kept adding to the list.
It took a while, but I finally felt like I had a pretty good list. There were still a few teams where I wasn’t 100% sure, but I figured it was good enough for now.
It wasn’t super scientific or anything, but it was cool to see all the different things teams came up with to honor him. Definitely a fun little project for the afternoon!
