Okay, so I’ve been seeing these cool “Ada Wong” icons all over the place, and I decided I needed one for myself. I mean, who doesn’t love Ada? She’s awesome. So, I started this little project, and here’s how it went down.
First Steps: The Hunt
First, I needed to find a good image. I spent, like, a solid hour just scrolling through Google Images, Pinterest, you name it. I typed in all sorts of stuff – “Ada Wong fanart,” “Ada Wong Resident Evil 4 Remake,” even “Ada Wong aesthetic.” There was so much to choose from!
Getting Down to Business: Editing
I finally picked a few images I really liked. One was a super cool, kinda edgy fanart, and another was a screenshot from the game that just had that perfect vibe. I downloaded them both. Then, I had to decide what to do with them.
I wanted something simple, nothing too crazy. I opened up my trusty old photo editor. No fancy stuff, just the basic one I’ve had forever. I played around with cropping first. I wanted to make sure Ada was the center of attention, you know? I zoomed in, moved things around, tried a few different square crops ’cause, you know, it’s for an icon.
- Cropping: I spent a good 20 minutes just tweaking the crop on both images. Getting it just right is surprisingly tricky.
- Filters: Next, I messed with the filters. I didn’t want to go overboard, but I wanted to give it a little somethin’ somethin’. I tried a few vintage-y ones, and a couple that made the colors pop a bit more.
- Brightness and Contrast: Then I played with the brightness and contrast. The screenshot was a little dark, so I bumped up the brightness a bit. The fanart was already pretty bright, so I just tweaked the contrast a little to make it a bit sharper.
The Final Showdown: Choosing the Winner
After editing both images, I had two really good contenders. It was tough to choose! I stared at them for, like, another 10 minutes, switching back and forth. Finally, I decided to go with the fanart. It just had that extra bit of oomph, you know?
I saved it as a .png file and uploaded it. Boom! New icon. It looks so good. Totally worth the time I spent. All and All,I think it is successful!
