Okay, so I was messing around with crossword puzzles the other day, and I got stuck on a clue – “discloses”. I mean, I knew what the word meant generally, but finding the right synonym that fit the puzzle was driving me nuts!

First, I grabbed a pen and paper – yeah, I’m old school like that. I started jotting down every word I could think of that meant something similar to “discloses”.

Then, I looked back at the crossword. How many letters did I need? What letters did I already have filled in? It’s like a little detective game, you know?
I had a seven-letter space, and the second letter was an ‘E’. Scanning my list, “Reveals” jumped out! It fit perfectly.
