Okay, so I got into this thing called “CodyCross”. It’s basically a crossword game, but it’s got this never-ending mode that just keeps going and going. I thought I’d give it a try and see how far I could get.
I started the game, and the first few puzzles were pretty easy. You know, the usual stuff, like “What’s the opposite of black?” or “What’s the capital of France?”. I breezed through those, feeling pretty good about myself.
- Round 1-5: Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
- Round 6-10: Started to get a bit trickier, but still manageable.
- Round 11-15: Okay, now we’re talking. Had to think a bit more here.
But then, things started to get a bit tougher. The words got longer, the clues got more obscure, and I found myself scratching my head a lot more often. I used a few hints here and there, but I tried to rely on my own brainpower as much as possible.
I kept playing for a few hours, and I was actually doing pretty well. I made it to level 20-something, which I thought was pretty impressive. But then, I hit a wall. There was this one clue that I just couldn’t figure out. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked.
I spent a good 30 minutes on that one clue, and eventually, I had to give up. It was frustrating, but I guess that’s part of the game. You’re not going to be able to solve every puzzle, especially when it’s designed to go on forever.
My Takeaway
Even though I didn’t “beat” the game (is that even possible?), I still had a lot of fun. It was a good way to kill some time and exercise my brain a bit. I might give it another go sometime, but for now, I think I’m done with CodyCross. Or at least with the never-ending mode. It really is never-ending!
