So, I wanted to compare Brock Purdy and Justin Fields. I mean, there’s been a lot of talk, right? Fields has played a whole season more than Purdy, and people are saying he’s gonna get way better because he’s young. But like, can’t Purdy also improve? What if he does?
Getting Started
First off, I started digging into their stats. I checked out a bunch of fantasy football sites. I needed to see what the so-called experts were saying about these two for Week 21. I mean, who would you start, right? These sites, they gather recommendations from like a hundred fantasy football gurus, along with all the player stats you could ever want.
Diving Deeper
Then, I went a bit deeper. I wanted to know if both guys were even playing, you know, if they were healthy and all that. I saw that in PPR projections, Fields was supposed to do better. That got me thinking, is this just a one-time thing, or is Fields really the better pick?
Comparing More
I found this cool tool online where you can compare up to four NFL players. It’s pretty neat. You put in the players, and it tells you who’s the better pick for your fantasy team based on projections and rankings. I mostly focused on quarterbacks, obviously, since that’s what I was interested in.
Looking at Week 18 and Beyond
I also checked out what people were saying about these two for Week 18 and even the 2024 season. It’s crazy how much advice is out there. Some folks were really high on Purdy, others on Fields. It’s a tough call. There was this one article from the Fantasy Footballers, and they were talking about who to start for Playoffs week 2. They seemed pretty split too.
Considering Other Players
While I was at it, I stumbled upon some stuff about other players like C.J. Stroud and Trevor Lawrence. It’s interesting to see how they all stack up against each other, you know, in terms of points per game. It made me realize how close some of these guys are in performance.
My Take
Here’s what I think:
- Both Purdy and Fields have their strengths.
- Purdy, he’s got the accuracy and some solid experience under his belt.
- Fields, he’s got that potential, the room to grow, which is exciting.
It’s really a tough decision who’s better, especially for fantasy football. I guess it depends on what you value more – current performance or potential future growth. I’m still on the fence, to be honest. I might just flip a coin next time I have to choose between them!
