Alright, so I wanted to figure out who’s gonna be calling the Orioles games on TV this year. You know, the voices we’ll be hearing all season long. I’m a big O’s fan, so naturally, I gotta stay in the loop.
First thing I did was hit up the usual spots – you know, the team’s official website and a few of the big sports news sites. I figured they’d have some kind of announcement about the broadcast team, especially since the season’s getting closer.
And I found some stuff, it did say something about the Orioles announcing their broadcast talent lineup for this season, 2024. It was pretty much what I expected.
The main name that kept popping up was Kevin Brown. Apparently, he’s the main play-by-play guy on MASN. That’s the network that shows most of the Orioles games. I like Kevin, he’s got a good voice for baseball, and he seems to know his stuff.
Then I dug a little deeper, found an article saying he even signed a multi-year contract, so he’s gonna be around for a while.
- Kevin Brown – play-by-play announcer on MASN.
Of course, there are other folks involved too. I mean, they always have some other commentators. Some names I recognized from last year, like Jim Palmer and Ben McDonald. They’re former Orioles players, so they always have some good insights during the games.

I also found this old table.
- 1954: WMAR-TV/WAAM: Ernie Harwell: Bailey Goss: Howie Williams 29 Home, 30 Away
- 1955: Chuck Thompson: 26 Home.
It shows some history of the announcers, way back to 1954! I don’t really know much about that, but it is still interesting to look at.
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. It looks like Kevin Brown will be the main guy, with some other folks like, former players, they always have good things to say, chiming in throughout the season. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing them call the games. Hopefully, the Orioles will have a great season, and the broadcast team will make it even more enjoyable to watch!
