So, I’ve been digging into this Drew Bishop baseball thing lately, right? It’s kinda interesting, let me tell you. I found out that Drew Bishop is back with the Texas Longhorns baseball program! I guess he used to play for them back in the day, from 2005 to 2008, from what I gathered. Now, he’s not playing anymore, but he’s taking on this “Director of Baseball Operations” role. Pretty cool gig, I’d say, working under the head coach, Jim Schlossnagle.
I also stumbled upon some stuff about Bishop being involved with Five Tool Baseball. Apparently, he’s their Scouting Director. Teaming up with Dustin McComas, who’s the Senior Editor, they’re covering all the amateur baseball action in Texas. They even got a podcast going on. They know their stuff, it seems. It is called Dustin and Drew, pretty creative, huh?
The Real Deal
Now, I saw a video where Bishop was talking about the 2024 Texas Longhorns baseball season. He was chatting with these guys, Blake Monroe and CJ Vogel. Seems like they were all hyped up, breaking down what to expect from the team. I was so excited!
I did a bit more digging. Turns out, Bishop pitched in 11 games for Santa Barbara. Oh, and get this – I was sitting on this information for a few days, just thinking about how to piece it all together for you guys.
